Frederik Van Hecke is the interim manager organisations bring in when a digital transformation, a platform rollout, or a critical system has stalled. He works between the boardroom and the engineering team and reads the architecture himself, telling a technically legitimate delay from organisational friction dressed up as a technical problem.
He established askfred in 2015 to deliver interim management and strategy consulting across Belgium and internationally, including on-site assignments at client locations across Europe. Frederik specialises in helping leadership teams navigate digital transformation, organisational change, and periods of growth or transition: stepping in where bandwidth or experience is missing, and stepping out once the organisation is back on track. No slides, no handoffs.
More than twenty-five years of leadership and operating experience across sectors, an interim practice since 2015, and a decade building askfred. Since 2024 he has integrated AI tools structurally into consulting practice: both for his own work and for clients.
